Provides basic introduction to the historical, sociological and philosophical foundations of multicultural education. Its general goals are to examine from different theoretical perspectives the nature of intergroup relations in U.S. society; to promote the study of the historical and contemporary experiences and contributions of marginalized, dominated, and underrepresented groups in the United States.
