Associated Term: Summer 2021
Levels: Undergraduate Continuing Education Campus Campus Lecture Schedule Type Traditional Instructional Method Learning Objectives: Understanding where you come from is perhaps one of the biggest unknowns that human beings have. Who are my ancestors? What do I do? How did they migrate and have their lives made in other latitudes? The vestiges of that passing are also mixed in the societies in which life is made. The politicians, the cultural manifestations, the universal moments that affected and affect people's lives, mean that humanity must be understood from their rights, from their scope, from what they are capable of producing development: In that sense and seeking to answer so many unknowns the course that is presented has four large blocks and a preamble: 1) Human rights, what protects us, what makes us human beings above all things in society and how can we be a responsible society if everyone takes their part. 2) From individual communication to social and mediated communication. Understand the media to create information according to the social needs of a group. 3) Sociology and politics: conditions of life. Leaders who block freedoms: Franco, Castro, Chavez and Trump. Society manifests itself in the streets before the excesses of politicians and state forces 4) Culture as an expression of who we are. Music as an artistic manifestation of the conjuncture: the journey of musical notes from deserts to Hip-Hop. Cinema as a reflection of the society in which I live and music that reflects who we are by accompanying moving images. The plastic arts as an excuse to create -renaissance- until the moment in which the walls speak -the Mexican muralism and the graffiti-.
